Primary SEN Teaching Assistant | 1:1 Support | Local Primary Schools. Location: Swindon & Surrounding Areas. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). You will support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Speech and Language challenges. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you aren't just an extra pair of hands; you are a child's advocate and guide. Personalised 1:1 Support: Implement tailored activities to meet EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets, ensuring the curriculum is accessible and fun. Sensory & Visual Learning: Utilise creative tools such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Now & Next boards, and sensory breaks to reduce anxiety and promote engagement. Holistic Care: Support children with social skills, emotional regulation, and personal care needs where required (full training provided). Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to create a safe, inclusive, and high-energy learning environment.
