Job Description:

Justteachers is working with a special needs school in Northampton that supports children with autism and learning difficulties. The school is seeking a Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. This role starts February 2026 and runs through the rest of the academic year.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with academic and social development
  • Help with behavioural and emotional support
  • Work with students to build confidence and independence
  • Assist with personal care and other daily routines

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism or learning difficulties
  • Ability to engage with students and adapt to their needs
  • Empathetic and reliable nature
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Two references from the last 2 years required
