We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school environment in Leeds, playing a crucial role in supporting students with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, ADHD, Visual and hearing impairments and Physical disabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare learning materials tailored to individual student needs
  • Adapt teaching support to meet each student's specific requirements
  • Support group and class activities
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • Create a safe and interesting environment for students
  • Update records and attend review meetings
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals like speech and language therapists

Requirements:

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience in a similar role (e.g., as a teaching assistant, support worker, or carer) OR demonstrable transferable skills that can be carried over into this position (e.g., supporting vulnerable people, working with children)
