We are urgently seeking a resilient, fun, and creative SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly commended, "Ofsted Good" SEN school. If you have experience in care or education or personal experience with SEN and a desire to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, we want to hear from you. This long-standing, innovative SEN setting is a beacon of excellence, often used as a positive framework for other SEN schools across the country. Job Responsibility:
Providing tailored support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and wider classroom basis
Assisting students with various SEN requirements, focusing heavily on SEMH needs
Fostering a love for learning while guiding students toward independence
Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Actively participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events
Requirements:
6 to 12 months of experience in a care, education, or learning support environment
GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
eligibility to work in the UK
a flexible, resilient, and positive approach to supporting learners with complex needs
Nice to have:
Direct SEN experience
strong care background
personal SEN experience
