SEN Teaching Assistant - KS3 & KS4 | Full-Time, Permanent Location: East Grinstead Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Setting: Innovative SEN & Part-Residential School (Ages 8-19) Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Your Role and Responsibilities As an SEN Teaching Assistant working within the KS3 and KS4 departments, your day-to-day duties will include: Providing tailored support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and wider classroom basis. Assisting students with various SEN requirements, focusing heavily on SEMH needs. Fostering a love for learning while guiding students toward independence. Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress. Actively participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events. What We Are Looking For (Requirements) To be considered for this rewarding Learning Support role, applicants must possess: Experience: 6 to 12 months of experience in a care, education, or learning support environment. Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and eligibility to work in the UK. Mindset: A flexible, resilient, and positive approach to supporting learners with complex needs. Note: Direct SEN experience is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong care background or those with personal SEN experience looking to transition into education are encouraged to apply.
