Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant – Peterborough. We’re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools in Peterborough. Ideal for patient, caring individuals with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with a range of SEN
  • Assist with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Support classroom routines and help create a nurturing environment
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to meet individual needs

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people (school, SEN, care, youth work, etc.)
  • Calm, resilient and positive approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
