Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant | Specialist Support | Local SEND Settings. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £90 - £95 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). We are seeking dedicated SEND Specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Job Responsibility

  • emotional regulation: act as a calm consistent presence, recognising early signs of distress and using sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies to support the student's wellbeing
  • collaborative care: work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development and safety

Requirements

  • are exceptionally patient
  • have relevant experience, could be from a school, care setting, personal experience with family, or volunteering with SEND charities
  • are a team player
  • are committed, hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to apply, and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
