Job Description:

URGENT: SEN Teaching Assistant - Lingfield. Location: Lingfield, Surrey. Start Date: Immediate (ASAP). Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term. Salary: £85 - £105 per day (depending on experience). Are you ready to make an immediate impact? Randstad Education is urgently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs at a specialist provision in Lingfield. Due to an immediate requirement, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and provide high-quality support to students with Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing tailored assistance to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), focusing on both academic progress and emotional regulation
  • utilizing alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices to ensure every student has a voice
  • implementing proactive de-escalation techniques and following individual behavior plans to maintain a safe learning environment
  • assisting students with sensory processing needs by utilizing sensory circuits, breakout rooms, and specialist equipment
  • assisting with personal care and mobility requirements where necessary (training provided)

Requirements:

  • Must be available to start immediately and commit to a full-time schedule
  • previous experience working with SEN (children or adults) is highly desirable (care, support work, or specialist schooling)
  • a calm, patient nature and the ability to remain composed under pressure
  • ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and parents
