Job Description:

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – School (Hounslow). An established School in Hounslow is looking to appoint a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant from ASAP. This role will focus on supporting a Year 1 pupil who is pre-verbal, calm, and has a brilliant sense of humour. The School, which educates pupils aged 2-16 across two sites, has been praised for its fun and engaging lessons, excellent behaviour, and strong culture of respect.

Job Responsibility:

1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Primary School
Supporting a Year 1 child with communication needs
Working closely during lessons and interventions
Exposure to on-site speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions

Requirements:

Energetic, compassionate, and patient individual
MUST have experience supporting children with communication challenges
Understanding of adaptive technologies to aid communication and learning
Ability to build a positive relationship with a child who is pre-verbal, calm, and has a great sense of humour
Team-player with a proactive approach to supporting class learning
