Job Description:

Randstad Education is a leading provider of education staffing solutions, connecting talented individuals with rewarding opportunities in schools and educational settings. This role is crucial in supporting young people's development within a dedicated team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide individual and group support to students aged 8-16 (Years 4-11) with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Create a nurturing and supportive environment for boys with SEMH needs
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Implement strategies to help students manage their emotions and behaviours
  • Build rapport with young people, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Collaborate effectively within a team of professionals
  • Contribute to the development of individualised education plans
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months' experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Relevant experience preferred
  • a related qualification (e.g., in education or youth work) would be advantageous
  • Proven ability to build rapport with young people
  • patience, empathy, and understanding
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Commitment to supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health development

Nice to have:

  • Relevant experience preferred
