Job Description:

Randstad are looking for a full time SEN Teaching assistant for a mainsteen Secondary school in Southport. We seek to recruit passionate, confident and patient SEN TA to work alongside young people with a multitude of Special Needs as soon as possible. The school is looking for a confident, creative, eager and resilient behaviour mentor that can build positive learning relationships with young people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting students with social, emotional, mental health needs
  • To plan, prepare and deliver to students with challenging behaviour
  • To be able to manage behaviour effectively and build positive learning relationships with SEN Pupils

Requirements:

  • No qualifications required
  • Strong professional attitude
  • Confidence supporting children academically and socially
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN environment
  • A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Legal RTW in the UK and willing to work long-term full-time for 5 days a week

Nice to have:

Previous experience of working in schools or working with young people with challenging behaviour
