Join Our Team as an Experienced SEN TA! Are you an experienced, proactive, and creative SEN Teaching Assistant who's passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Autism? We are a superbly-equipped, specialist primary school in Guildford for pupils aged 5-11 with a wide range of needs, specialising in Autism. We offer personalised teaching, therapeutic interventions, and a nurturing environment where every child's capabilities are fully realised. With a fantastic staff-to-child ratio and a commitment to making school a happy place, we're dedicated to providing the best possible educational experience. Our facilities include five spacious classrooms (max 7 pupils per class), a practical learning space for arts and science, a fully-equipped pupil kitchen for independence skills, and full IT integration in all classrooms (interactive whiteboards, laptop library, tablets). We also boast comfortable outdoor spaces, including sensory gardens, play equipment, and outdoor learning facilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism
  • Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans and therapeutic interventions
  • Supporting communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
  • Adapting learning materials and promoting independence skills
  • Collaborating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents
