Job Description:

Randstad has partnered with a school in Wirral that is focused on providing exceptional education to students with special educational needs. We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to students. In this role, you will work with individuals and small groups to help them with their academic, social, and emotional development.

Job Responsibility:

Providing tailored support to students with special educational needs
Assisting students with coursework and emotional well-being
Creating a supportive learning environment with teachers and other professionals
Maintaining records of student progress and behaviour
Contributing to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Supporting students in achieving their learning goals and accessing the curriculum
Implementing strategies to manage and promote positive behaviour

Requirements:

A minimum of 6 months of experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
The legal right to work in the UK
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEN
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills

Nice to have:

Experience with a range of SEN needs is a plus
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures is a plus
A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving
