Job Responsibility
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assist the classroom teacher in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Monitor student progress, adapt learning materials, and provide constructive feedback
Ability to communicate with, de-escalate, and encourage children with additional needs
Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to implement effective individual education plans (IEPs)
Maintain regular communication with staff regarding student progress and well-being
Contribute to a safe, positive, and supportive wider school community
Requirements
Prior SEN experience, background as a Youth Worker, or being a Graduate looking to enter education are the ideal backgrounds for this role
Relevant experience working with young people with 2 professional/proven references
An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
Right to work in the UK - Essential (sponsorship is not available with this role)
Strong knowledge of, or a keen interest in, supporting additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or Speech & Language difficulties
Being passionate about inclusive education, teaching, and learning
