Job Description:

Randstad is currently recruiting for a full-time, long-term position at a supportive school focused on providing an exceptional education for students with special educational needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a variety of special educational needs
  • Assist with coursework, emotional well-being, and personal development
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Implement strategies to manage and promote positive behaviour
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of student's Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school
  • Relevant qualifications in supporting students with SEN are desirable
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong passion for supporting students with SEN
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • The legal right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • Experience in administering medication
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • Experience with learning difficulties
  • Experience with social emotional mental health
