Join our specialist network as an SEN Teaching Assistant and provide the vital support needed to help students with additional needs thrive. Small Steps, Big Victories: Impact Where It Matters Most We are seeking dedicated SEND Specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This role is perfect for those who value connection over curriculum and celebrate the unique progress of every individual learner. Specialist Career Growth: Gain invaluable experience in a field that is in high demand. Perfect for those pursuing careers in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or SEN Teaching. Meaningful Work: Experience the immense reward of helping a student reach a milestone, whether it's a social breakthrough, a new communication skill, or an academic achievement. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £90 - £95, paid every Friday via Randstad. Your Role as an SEN Advocate As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you are the student's bridge to the world, ensuring their environment is safe, inclusive, and stimulating. Personalised Learning: Follow and implement EHCP goals, adapting classroom activities to meet the specific sensory and cognitive needs of the student. Communication Support: Utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Makaton, or AAC devices to give every child a voice. Emotional Regulation: Act as a 'calm consistent' presence, recognising early signs of distress and using sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies to support the student's wellbeing. Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development and safety.
