Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Difference in Infant School! (Crawley). We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our supportive team at a mainstream school in Crawley, West Sussex. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work across the entire infant school, supporting students in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) through Year 2. You will be providing essential 1:1 support to a student with additional needs while also assisting teachers in various classrooms.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist across classrooms in EYFS, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2
  • Collaborate closely with the class teachers and SENCO to implement effective learning strategies
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Provide regular feedback and updates on the student's progress to teachers and parents

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Experience in an SEN setting within an infant school environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to the well-being and progress of every child
