We are seeking dedicated SEND Specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Job Responsibility
Work 1:1 or in small groups to make learning accessible using sensory play, visual timetables, and personalised communication tools
Follow and implement EHCP goals, adapting classroom activities to meet specific sensory and cognitive needs
Utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices
Act as a calm consistent presence, recognising early signs of distress and using sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies
Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists for holistic child development
Requirements
Experience in a school, care, or volunteer setting with SEND
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
