We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school community in Cornwall. This full-time role is integral to supporting a child with specific medical needs, including peg feeding and nebuliser treatments, ensuring they receive the personalised care necessary to thrive in a nurturing environment aligned with our school's ethos of inclusivity, respect, and holistic development. Job Responsibility:
Provide one-to-one support to a child with special educational needs, including administering peg feeding and nebuliser treatments
Assist the class teacher in planning and implementing tailored educational activities
Support the child's social and emotional development by creating a caring and inclusive environment
Monitor and record the child's progress, behaviour, and health needs, liaising regularly with teaching staff, parents, and external specialists
Support the child during classroom activities, outings, and breaks to ensure their safety, engagement, and participation
Uphold the school's values of kindness, respect, and inclusivity in all interactions
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment, following health and safety guidelines and infection control procedures
Attend relevant training sessions to stay updated on best practices
