Job Description:

Through SEN Provision, a leading provider of education and care for boys aged 5-11 with a range of complex needs, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. The provision is nestled on 23 acres of beautiful West Sussex countryside, offering a unique and stimulating learning environment. Job Responsibility:

Provide support to students in the classroom
Assist teachers with lessons, provide individualised support, and help create a positive learning environment
Collaborate with the class teacher to implement personalized learning plans and ensure each student's needs are met
Support students with a range of needs
Provide help with activities, behaviour management, and personal care as required
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere
Promote a sense of safety, belonging, and well-being
Learn and grow
We are committed to ongoing professional development and will support you with training and qualifications, including QTS and HLTA opportunities

Requirements:

A valid DBS check
A full driving licence (preferred)
Have a genuine passion for working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions
Are patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learners
Have experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (desirable)
Have experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
Have experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)
