We are currently seeking a professional and dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to provide essential 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs. Job Responsibility

  • Provide dedicated, personalised guidance for students with additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties
  • Facilitate targeted learning activities for small groups to improve literacy, numeracy, and social skills
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in alignment with individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCo to monitor progress and provide feedback on student development
  • Adapt teaching materials and sensory tools to suit individual learning styles

Requirements

  • Proven experience in education, care, or youth coaching settings
  • Strong, professional communication skills
  • Resilience and the ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to process one immediately
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or degree) or prior exposure to SEN frameworks are considered an asset
