Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant. Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role? We're hiring for a full-time, long-term position at a supportive school in Wirral, starting immediately. Make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs!

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist students with academic work, social skills, and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school
  • Valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A strong commitment to helping students succeed

Nice to have:

  • experience in administering medication
  • experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • experience with learning difficulties
  • experience with social emotional mental health
