We are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and forward-thinking SEN School in Ely. This is a full-time role where you will support children with diverse needs, including Autism (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and sensory processing challenges.
Job Responsibility:
Bespoke Academic Support: Work 1:1 to adapt classroom activities into accessible, sensory-friendly tasks
Communication Coaching: Use tools like Makaton and Visual Timetables
Emotional Regulation: Act as a "co-regulator," helping students identify their emotions
EHCP Milestones: Record daily observations to help track progress
Life Skills Mentorship: Support students during lunch, play, and practical activities
Requirements:

Experience or Energy in care, SEN, or youth work

Compliance: hold an enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
