Are you ready to be the difference-maker for a child who sees the world through a different lens? We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEN School in Thetford. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will support students with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and social-emotional challenges.
Job Responsibility:
1:1 Learning Scaffolding: Adapt classroom tasks into manageable, sensory-friendly activities
Communication Support: Assist non-verbal or pre-verbal students using Widgit Symbols, Makaton, or PECS
Sensory Regulation: Identify early signs of sensory overload and guide students to 'calm-down' zones
EHCP Milestone Tracking: Work with the Class Teacher to observe and record progress toward goals in a student's Education, Health and Care Plan
Personal Care & Wellbeing: Provide essential support with mobility, meal times, and personal care

An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
