Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our exceptional school in Cranleigh, Surrey. This role involves supporting children with autism spectrum conditions aged 7-19 in a nurturing environment. The school offers small class sizes, 1:1 student support, and exceptional facilities, including sensory rooms and outdoor learning spaces.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support to students in the classroom
assist teachers with lessons
provide individualized support
collaborate with the class teacher to implement personalized learning plans
support students with a range of needs, including behavior management and personal care
create a positive and encouraging atmosphere
promote student safety, belonging, and well-being
engage in ongoing professional development and training

Requirements:

A valid DBS check
a full driving license (preferred)
a genuine passion for working with children with autism spectrum conditions
patient, caring, and enthusiastic
experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (desirable)
experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)

Nice to have:
