Job Description

Randstad are looking for a supportive Teaching Assistant to work on a full time position in a beautiful School in St Albans. As a successful candidate, you will be providing support and guidance to all children alongside general classroom duties. This will be a temporary permanent position available to start from 13th April!!

Job Responsibility

  • Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
  • Assisting students during class making sure they are on track
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
  • Working with small groups and 1:1
  • Safeguarding children
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress
  • Having a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot

Requirements

  • An Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to make an impression on both us and our client
  • Previous experience in Schools preferred
  • 2 recent professional references (this is essential)
  • Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
  • Good classroom management skills
