Job Description

We’re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools in Weston‑super‑Mare and the surrounding areas. Perfect for caring, resilient individuals with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with a range of SEN
  • Assist with learning, communication, regulation, and daily routines
  • Help create a safe, supportive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to meet individual needs

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people (school, SEN, care, youth work, etc.)
  • Calm, patient, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
