Job Description

Randstad Education are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants for a number of brilliant SEN schools across Merseyside. You will be responsible for working with children from EYFS up to Post 16 to provide support with a number of Special Educational Needs. Previous experience working in a similar role is an advantage. Job Responsibility

  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide support during lessons
  • Provide general support to the class teacher, such as setting up the classroom for lessons
  • Support pupils with SEN and develop strategies to best support their needs
  • Liaise with the class teacher and any other relevant professionals to discuss pupil progress
  • Provide additional support with lunch and break duties where needed
  • Report any concerns to the SENCo

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school or similar role
  • Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Experience with SEN (desirable)
