Sen Teaching Assistant

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to specific pupils during lessons, breaks, and transition periods
• Adapt classroom activities on the spot to suit the pupil's specific learning, communication, or behavioural needs
• Assist with emotional regulation and help the pupil navigate social situations in a mainstream environment
• Maintain strong communication with the classroom teacher to provide feedback on the pupil's progress
• Uphold school policies regarding safeguarding, inclusion, and behaviour management

• Previous experience working 1:1 or in small groups with primary-aged children with SEN (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, or SEMH)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently step into new classrooms, and build quick rapport with pupils
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
• Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning (Level 2/3 NVQ) or special educational needs are desirable, but relevant experience is highly valued
• Must possess an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or be willing to process a new one through Randstad)
• Patient, resilient, and highly adaptable
