Randstad is working with a school in the Berkhamsted area of Hertfordshire to recruit a skilled and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Job Responsibility:
Provide individual and group support to students with special educational needs
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
Implement behaviour management strategies and support the development of positive behaviour
Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students
Work collaboratively with other members of the school's support team
Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour
Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months of experience with SEN/children is essential for this role
Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
2 recent professional references
Experience with behaviours that are challenging
A calm & caring personality
A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils development
Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
