We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for flexible, day-to-day cover at specialist schools and alternative provisions in King's Lynn and the surrounding West Norfolk area. This role is perfect for experienced SEND professionals, support workers looking to transition into education, or individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Choose exactly which days to work
  • Work alongside specialised class teachers to guide pupils through their sensory, academic, and emotional schedules
  • Support pupils across various age groups with uniquely tailored learning and communication styles

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs
  • Experience with non-verbal communication
  • Sensory processing
  • De-escalation strategies
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Adaptable mindset
  • Valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
