Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant role at a mainstream school in Crawley, West Sussex. Full-time position supporting students in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) through Year 2, providing essential 1:1 support and assisting teachers in various classrooms.

Job Responsibility:

Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met
assist across classrooms in EYFS, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, ensuring all students are fully supported and engaged in their learning
collaborate closely with the class teachers and SENCO to implement effective learning strategies
help foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and engagement for all students
provide regular feedback and updates on the student's progress to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting within an infant school environment
patience
empathy
positive attitude
strong communication and teamwork skills
commitment to the well-being and progress of every child.
