Job Description:

Join a brand-new SEND Secondary School in Chaldon, Surrey, supporting students aged 11-16 with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing needs, typically associated with Autism. Work within small classes with high support ratios, alongside a multidisciplinary intervention team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Building positive, trusting bonds with pupils
  • Implementing and adjusting learning activities to meet specific student needs
  • Managing positive behaviour using a tailored approach
  • Encouraging personal development and life skills
  • Acting as a champion for pupil welfare and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Experience or passion for SEN environment
  • Resilient, empathetic, and patient 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to adapt approach based on student's emotional or sensory needs
  • Willingness to work across main site and satellite site
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Nice to have:

Previous experience in an SEN environment
