Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision setting, supporting a Year 10 student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This is a unique opportunity to work in a focused, rewarding role where your impact will be immediate and visible. You will play a vital part in helping a student overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop essential academic and life skills in a supportive, nurturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Provide one-to-one and small group support across learning and life skills
Support and monitor EHCP targets to drive student progress
Adapt resources and promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches
Build strong relationships to encourage confidence, independence, and engagement
Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals
Track progress and contribute to reviews and planning
Support participation in practical, vocational, and community activities

Requirements:

Experience supporting young people with SEND and EHCPs
Good understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
