Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted - North Manchester! We are seeking enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant school communities across the North Manchester area. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Job Responsibility:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Assisting with classroom management and supporting positive behaviour strategies
Liaising with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for pupils
Preparing and adapting learning resources to meet individual needs

Requirements:

Minimum of 3-6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK school settings (Nursery and/or Primary)
Willingness to attend and complete Team Teach training (provided as part of induction, if not already held)
Ability to commit to full-time hours, typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time
Genuine desire to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioural needs
Patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude
