SEN Teaching Assistant

• Bespoke 1:1 Support: Execute tailored learning activities that focus on the specific cognitive, sensory, and emotional goals of your assigned student
• Communication Facilitation: Help students find their voice through the use of Makaton, PECS, or visual choice boards, ensuring their needs are always understood
• Sensory Co-Regulation: Monitor environmental triggers and implement heavy work or sensory breaks to help students stay regulated and ready to learn
• EHCP Milestone Recording: Assist the Class Teacher in tracking the small-step progress that forms the foundation of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews
• Compassionate Care: Provide essential support with mobility, meal times, and personal hygiene, ensuring every student is treated with the highest level of dignity and respect
• Classroom Synergy: Work as a proactive member of a tight-knit team, maintaining a predictable and nurturing environment for all learners
