SEN Teaching Assistant

• 1:1 Learning Scaffolding: Work closely with individual students to break down academic tasks into sensory-friendly, manageable steps
• Communication Support: Assist students using Makaton, PECS, or visual aids
• Sensory & Emotional Regulation: Monitor student wellbeing, identifying triggers for sensory overload and guiding students to calm-down zones or sensory circuits
• EHCP Goal Tracking: Collaborate with the Class Teacher to observe and document progress toward specific Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
• Personal Care & Dignity: Provide essential support with mobility, meal times, and personal care
