Job Description:

Justteachers are looking for a enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support across KS2-KS3 in a pioneering SEND school in Hebden Green. Join a dedicated team at an specialist school, supporting children aged 4–11 with diverse SEND needs. The role is to help create an inclusive, empowering learning environment where every child can thrive. This role is starting in June and presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group pastoral support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Develop positive, trusting relationships that support pupils’ emotional wellbeing
  • Guide pupils in building emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and key social skills
  • Support de‑escalation strategies and facilitate restorative conversations when needed.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting children in SEND or targeted intervention roles
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND strategies and commitment to inclusive education
  • Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach to learning and behaviour
  • Two or more recent, education based references within the last 2 years.
