Job Description:

Join a dedicated team within a unique environment that supports children and young people (aged 4-19) with complex neurological conditions, epilepsy, autism, and learning difficulties. Offering both day and residential placements, we provide a holistic approach to education and wellbeing, ensuring our students feel safe, understood, and empowered. As a long-term SEN TA, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting students with complex needs, ensuring their safety and engagement in learning activities
  • Maintaining a calm and vigilant approach to supporting students with epilepsy and other neurological conditions
  • Implementing tailored strategies for autism and learning difficulties as outlined in EHCPs
  • Helping students navigate the move between classroom learning and their residential environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with complex needs, epilepsy, or ASD is highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills (experience with Makaton or PECS is a bonus)
