Job Responsibility:
Provide individualised care and learning support to students, acting as a Pupil Champion for their academic, social, emotional, and personal care needs
Collaborate with staff and therapists to deliver a highly personalised curriculum
Foster an inclusive community where students feel happy and supported
Contribute to an environment that encourages all students to achieve their full potential and makes learning exciting and accessible
Requirements:
Genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs, especially those with autism
Empathetic, understanding, and patient approach
Collaborative team player
Proactive learner
Excellent communication skills
GCSEs in Maths and English (Level 2/Grade C or above)
Strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
Access to own transport
Nice to have:
Background in youth work
Experience in administering medication
Experience in managing challenging behaviour
Experience with autism spectrum disorders
Experience with learning difficulties
Experience with social emotional mental health
Manual handling
Restraint training
