Job Responsibility:
Applied Behavioural Support: Utilise positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies to help students regulate their emotions
Neurodiversity Advocacy: Apply your understanding of social communication and sensory processing to adapt environments for individual student profiles
Data & Observation: Assist in monitoring student progress, providing qualitative feedback that informs Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions
Relational Approach: Build secure attachments with students, using trauma-informed practices to foster a safe learning environment
Requirements:
Experience working in schools with young people with Special Educational Needs
A degree in Psychology would be an advantage
An interest in understanding the 'why' behind behaviour and the patience to implement long-term developmental strategies
The ability to remain calm and objective in challenging or high-arousal situations
Someone eager to learn more about the nuances of SEND education and therapeutic support
