Job Description:

Ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? Randstad is hiring for a long-term, full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Liverpool. This is an exciting chance to use your skills and passion to help students thrive in a supportive school setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with a variety of SEN
  • Work closely with class teachers to implement individual learning plans
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive atmosphere
  • Assist with lesson preparation and student progress tracking
  • Act as a mentor and guide for students as they work toward their goals

Requirements:

  • At least six months of experience in a similar role within a UK school
  • A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A current Enhanced DBS check, or the willingness to apply for one

Nice to have:

  • experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • experience with learning difficulties
  • experience with social emotional mental health
