Pink Tile Education is pleased to be working with a welcoming 2‑form entry primary school in Chichester who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism (ASD). This school has a fantastic reputation for inclusion, consistency, and strong pastoral care. The SEN provision is well‑established, and you’ll be joining a team that works collaboratively to make sure every child feels understood, supported and able to succeed. It’s an excellent role for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships, work within a structured team, and grow their SEN practice.

Job Responsibility:

Providing tailored, 1:1 support for a child with Autism throughout the school day
Helping with communication, emotional regulation, routines and classroom engagement
Using visuals, structured approaches and personalised strategies
Supporting social interaction and confidence within the classroom and playground
Working closely with the class teacher, year group partner, SENCo and parent/carers
Ensuring the child feels safe, calm, and positively supported

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs
Patient, understanding and able to build trust quickly
Can follow SEN plans, adapt approaches and stay calm under pressure
Communicate well with staff, families and external professionals
Committed to helping children progress emotionally and academically
Reliable, positive and genuinely passionate about SEN support
Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
