Small Steps, Big Victories: Impact Where It Matters Most We are seeking dedicated SEND Specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Job Responsibility

Tailored Support: Work 1:1 or in small groups to make learning accessible, using sensory play, visual timetables, and personalised communication tools

Personalised Learning: Follow and implement EHCP goals, adapting classroom activities to meet the specific sensory and cognitive needs of the student
Communication Support: Utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Makaton, or AAC devices to give every child a voice
Emotional Regulation: Act as a "calm consistent" presence, recognising early signs of distress and using sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies to support the student's wellbeing
Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development and safety

Requirements

Are Exceptionally Patient: You understand that progress can be non-linear and you have the resilience to support students through challenging moments
Have Relevant Experience: This could be from a school, care setting, personal experience with family, or volunteering with SEND charities
Are a Team Player: You can take direction from specialists while using your own initiative to support the student's daily routine
Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
