Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties
  • Supporting students with classroom routines, behaviour management, and personal care when necessary
  • Using tailored communication to meet the individual needs of students
  • Developing positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents
  • Promoting positive social interactions and supporting students' emotional well-being
  • Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum
  • Preparing and setting up learning resources
  • Monitoring and recording student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in school, residential, or care settings
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or are willing to obtain one)
  • Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to work long term full-time
  • Ideally available for 5 days a week (Monday - Friday)
  • Relevant experience and qualifications are preferred but not essential
