We are seeking dedicated SEND Specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Job Responsibility
Work 1:1 or in small groups to make learning accessible, using sensory play, visual timetables, and personalised communication tools
Follow and implement EHCP goals, adapting classroom activities to meet the specific sensory and cognitive needs of the student
Utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices to give every child a voice
Act as a calm consistent presence, recognising early signs of distress and using sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies to support the student's wellbeing
Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development and safety
Requirements
Exceptional patience
Relevant experience in a school, care setting, personal experience with family, or volunteering with SEND charities
Team player
Commitment, holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply), dedicated to Safeguarding
