GSL Education are hiring a compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a school in Birmingham. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with students who require Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Job Responsibility:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH
Assist teachers in adapting learning resources and activities
Support behaviour management and positive engagement in lessons
Help students build confidence, independence, and social skills
Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs, especially with SEMH needs
Patient, caring, and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
