Job Description:

A welcoming and high-achieving primary academy in Haringey are looking for a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school to support a child with complex needs on a 1 to 1 basis. The school is well-resourced to support children with SEN. This 3-form entry primary school is part of a larger all-through academy. The school employs a curriculum that enables all to make rapid academic progress across a range of subject areas with an emphasis on reading, writing and numeracy. Behaviour at the school is very good and there are high expectations of pupils and staff alike.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting a pupil in year 1 with Special Educational Needs
Support a child with autism with behaviour and academic activities in the classroom
Work closely with experienced staff
Have access to specialist areas to support the child

Requirements:

Confident SEN Teaching Assistant
Must be fit and able to support a child who runs out of class
Confident to de-escalate situations and remove the child to calm down situations
