Job Description:

Launch Your SEN Career: Teaching Assistant with HLTA Training. This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive team in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, with a clear path to becoming a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young learners. This is an urgent, high-priority role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing individualised academic and emotional support to pupils
  • Assisting with lesson delivery and implementing positive behavioural strategies
  • Tracking pupil progress and celebrating their achievements
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintaining open communication with parents, teachers, and other support staff
  • Participating in professional development to enhance your skills in child development and SEN

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an SEN setting, whether professional or personal
  • A driver's licence and access to a vehicle are essential
  • GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C/equivalent)
  • A strong passion for supporting children with special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
