A vibrant secondary school in Liverpool, is seeking a skilled professional to join their dedicated team immediately. This is a crucial full-time, long-term role where you will play a vital part in maintaining a positive, structured learning environment for students.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver targeted in-class and small-group support to students who require additional guidance with behaviour and engagement
Implement school-wide behaviour policies effectively and fairly, using de-escalation and positive reinforcement techniques
Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to ensure consistent application of individual behaviour plans
Mentor and guide pupils to develop essential social, emotional, and self-management skills
Contribute to creating an inclusive culture where all students feel respected and motivated to learn
Requirements:
Proven experience (minimum 6 months) as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker within a UK secondary or primary school setting
Demonstrable competence in behaviour management and providing emotional support to young people
Excellent interpersonal skills-ability to build instant rapport with students and communicate professionally with staff
High levels of resilience, reliability, and initiative are non-negotiable for this demanding, yet rewarding, role
Full-time commitment is required for the duration of the long-term placement
A current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply immediately
